Portugal is simply unstoppable! During this weekend, the Portuguese handball team showed what it is capable of. To fight, feint, score and win. The results are before our eyes and tell us that Portugal has secured a place in the Play-Off to qualify for the 2019 World Cup.

It was a weekend full of emotions in a Pavilion filled with fans and spectators in Póvoa do Varzim. On the 3rd and last round of Group 4, Portugal vs Poland, a game in which we only needed equality, we entered the break with a 15-13 lead.

In the second half of the game, the scorer gave Poland an advantage. However, the Portuguese athletes gave their maximum effort and ended up regaining control of the match. In the end, the 27-27 draw was enough to guarantee us access to the Play-Off.

Portugal now needs to overcome the play-offs to reach the 2019 World Cup, which will be held in June 2018, in Denmark and Germany.
