Rubén Amorim: A career of excellence in soccer, both on and off the pitch.
From player to coach, Rubén Amorim has traced an impressive journey. It all started at CAC da Pontinha, where he first touched the ball, and went on to train at Benfica, Corroios and Belenenses, where he made his professional debut. From there, he went to Benfica, was loaned to Sporting Clube de Braga and proudly represented the national A team on 14 occasions. However, he ended his playing career at the age of 31.
But his talent and passion for soccer were far from over. In 2018/2019, Amorim began his adventure as a coach at Casa Pia, without the necessary formal qualifications, but with a unique vision for the game. His rise was meteoric: in just a few months, he took over Sporting de Braga’s B team and, by the end of 2019, he was already in charge of the first team. In March 2020, it was Sporting Clube de Portugal’s turn to entrust him with the helm, and the result couldn’t have been more historic. Under his leadership, the club broke a long dry spell and won the national championship in 2020/2021 and again in 2023/2024.
Now, at the end of October 2024, Amorim is seeing his talent coveted across borders. Manchester United wasted no time in signing him, recognizing in him the charisma and strategy of a true leader.
During his four years at the service of Sporting Clube de Portugal, Sports Partner is proud to have been present at every training session, in the 231 matches played and in the 5 titles won by the team. Our equipment has accompanied every moment of this memorable journey.
Many thanks to Rubén Amorim. You have shown yourself to be a coach of excellence and, above all, a human being of exemplary character. We wish you a future full of success, because we know that the best is yet to come.
Thank you, Rubén! 🌟👏
