The 14th edition of the European Handball Masters Championship for men and women took place from June 8th to June 11th, in Gondomar (Portugal), this year named European City of Sports 2017. The initiative aimed to provide moments of conviviality and fun to former handball players.

At the Masters, 57 teams from 18 different European countries were present, which were divided into the Women’s teams in the +33 and +43 categories, and the Men’s teams in the +35, +45 and +50 categories.
The winner of the +33 Women’s category was the Portuguese team Gaia Porto Masters, while in the +43 category the Hungarian team Angyalok won.

The winner in the men’s category was the Portuguese Masters Porto team, in the +45 category the winners were the Hungarians Budapest Old Boys, and in the +50 category the winners were the Ukrainians Odessa.
