The Match

Last Saturday, Belenenses and Santa Clara played in the second round of the League Cup at the Jamor National Stadium.

It was by one goal that Santa Clara sealed the result on the Lisbon ground. The goal was scored by Iraqi international Osama Rashid from the penalty spot in the 81st minute.

The Azorean team’s victory allowed them access to the group stage of the competition.

With this achievement, Belenenses join Tondela, Boavista and Moreirense among the teams eliminated from the competition.
